Wow, can you say overpaid. And not having to travel on road trips, oh man, how can you baby a pitcher more than that?

Because he is f**king amazing and knows how to win. Frankly the money is nothing to George, and he will pay whatever he can to try to win another world series, roger clemens is worth that.

considering the state of the rotation health-wise and depth-wise... this was obviously a desperation move but a good one.
if they don't get help they could be a 200M(or whatever) team that doesn't make the playoffs. that would be terrible, and if roger clemens saves that then they have to do it.

i would focus more on the getting suckered in part. Boston bought them into the fact that Boston actually as bidding on Clemens. Also, the pitching where he wants thing is a joke, you are basically killing the standards of nyy history that were set in past. obviously a very desperate move, that I think will backfire on them.

you could say the opposite thing about dice-k bidding, unfortunately there is no proof of either. i don't think either of those teams give a d**n about money because 1) the CBA gave them more to work with, 2) they sell out every game and make a lot of profit and can afford it. if anything i applaud NY for spoiling their fans, even though they don't deserve it. most franchises screw their fans quite honestly.
i agree it's a joke that clemens can do that midway, and not for NY history but for baseball period.

jermey what the f**k are you talking about. You are basically saying that boston tricked the yankees and Astros into thinking they wanted clemens when in fact they were just doing it so the yankees would pay more. HOW THE f**k DO YOU COME TO THAT CONCLUSION. any team in the MLB would love to have roger clemens come to their team in June and pitch for them in their rotation for the remainder of the season, not one team would turn that down, not one. Even your f**king homo mets would love to have clemens. The yankees are not being suckerd into clemens and they are not getting screwed, either way we get a steady pitcher to help a dead rotation that needs some sort of lift.

not for $28 mill and him not showing up except for home starts, otherwise yes I would, although I don't particularly like the guy.
